It feels like I am running a race that will never end. How do I keep momentum? I have not been updating my menus, but have been eating fairly well. I am just bored of the whole concept of eating differently for the rest of my life. I should have expected this. I need to keep this exciting. It’s very hard and would love some advise.

Eat less and you will lose weight.
It is calories not what you eat.
Eat lots of small meals.
Have you ever heard these lines. Well it probably makes sense, not only do I like large meals, I fishing my plate. That’s what my mom taught me. For 20 plus years, not only did I finish my plate, portions got bigger. That is why everyone is fatter. Not only do I finish my plate, I don’t like to share.
My mother taught me to share, so I will started offering a taste off my plate. If I give away one taste of my dinner every night I should be able to give away at least 50 calories; maybe 100 if I get good at it. Here’s the math.
50 * 365 days equals 18,250 calories.
That’s nine days worth of food @2,200 calories.
That is 5 pounds over the year and that is only 50 calories. 100 calories would help me lose 10 pounds by just offering a taste.
So 5 very important works to remember.

This weekend I did a poor job keep a diary. Except for the part where I visited the White house and saw President Bush. Aside from that I thought I had a bad food weekend but weighted in 10 pounds off my high. This seems to be working, but can I make it a lifestyle?
Yesterday — nuts, onion soup (ton of cheese – no bread), ceasar salad no coutons, dinner sauted chicken breasts with onion, garlic, rosemary, tyme, and tumeric, with cauliflower (sauteed-steams with chicken broth). Raw carrots as snack.
Saturday — nuts, sauteed calamari with hot peppers, chicken (buffalo wings, 1/2 strip steak, small portion of braised king crab legs, broccoli rabe, sautedd mushrooms, cream of spinach.
Friday — memory is slipping. dinner a HUGE salad with steamed asparagus, tons of sauteed baby bella mushrooms, swiss cheese, boiled baby yellow beats. lunch I had sashimi over a bead of lettuce with spicy seaffod soup. I can’t remember if I had breakfast. I ran out of eggs, so its possible I skipped.
As I mentioned I was in DC this weekend. I will post the restuarnts later.

It is amazing that is you don’t have a plan how easy it is to fall of the wagon. Yesterday at lunch time, I began to wander and see where I wanted to eat. The list is endless as; in Manhattan , I can get within one block of my office anything under the sun. I caught myself dead in my steps as if I was a robot and walked to get my daily salad for the week. I was always against following a planned menu. I might need to reconsider. Pounds fell off this week. I am 8 pounds off my high and feel I will reach my target goal in the spring. Yesterdays menu;
2 poached eggs
Large daily salad
carrot sticks and celery
1/4 cup of assorted nuts
pan seared octopus with broccoli rabe
HUGE veal chop with vinegar hot peppers at Baldoria.

Who are these people? Have you ever met anyone who said, ” I forgot to eat”
What did you have for lunch? “Oh–I for to eat.”
What’s for dinner? “Is it that time already!”
I don’t know about you, but I count the minutes before every meal. Can that change? How would I go about going to forget eating? I forget a lot of other things. I can’t remember people’s name. I never can remember the name of the movie I JUST SAW!
I want to forget to eat lunch one day, or maybe dinner. Is that possible?

A cucumber. A pickle. They’re the same thing, but are they fruits or vegetables? Cucumber is actually a fruit.

No thank you.
Would you like some desert? No thank you
Would you like to taste my dish? No thank you
Would you like a side of potatoes? No thank you
Would you like anything else? No thank you?
Stick your plan. Arrange your meals in advance. And always say no thank you. We put to much effort in maintaining our weight. We spend many hours in the gym. We know what is good and bad to eat. Now learn to say; No thank you!!!
